The Military Order of the Cootie (MOC) is the "Honor Degree of the VFW," a subordinate organization of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Comprised of active VFW active VFW leaders, Cooties focus on, "Keeping ’em Smilin' in Beds of White", supporting veterans in VA hospitals and children at the VFW National Home.

Their leadership titles are uniquely themed around bugs/insects, such as the Supreme Seam Squirrel (Commander). 

Founded in 1920, it became a subsidiary of the VFW in 1923.
